TLC Service FAQ
What specialities do you provide services for?
TLC Credentialing and Consulting specializes in providing services to ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) providers. We can also provide credentialing, contracting and consulting to Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and outpatient/in office mental health providers. Many practices offer several of these services - we can assist you in your mult-specialty practice as well.
What payment methods do you accept?
What states do you provide services for?
TLC Credentialing and Consulting can provide services in all 50 states.
Do you charge sales tax?
In accordance with Texas law, sales tax is only charged when providing a tangible item for practices located in Texas. This includes sales of PowerPoint training courses (either stand alone, or in conjunction with a consultation package). Consultations alone and credentialing/contracting services provided to Texas practices are not taxable.
We accept electronic check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover) payments via Square and Found.
When is payment due?
What if the insurance network I want to join is closed?
For consulting services and training services, payment is due up front, prior to receiving the consultation or training. For contracting and credentialing services, half of the total payment will be due before any applications are submitted to the payor. This amount is non-refundable unless the insurance network is closed. Upon successful completion of contracting and credentialing (timeframes vary by payor), the remaining portion of the payment will be due within 14 calendar days of the invoice.
Can you make/update my CAQH and NPI for me?
A provider's NPI and CAQH are owned by the provider and contains personal information. It follows the provider wherever they go in their career. As such, TLC Credentialing and Consulting will not create or amend your NPI or your CAQH profile. It is the provider's responsibility to create and maintain. This is to protect both parties. However, we do offer a packaged training on filling out both an NPI application and a CAQH profile. We will be happy to walk your providers through the process! Note that both of these items need to be updated and complete in order for the credentialing process to be successful.
You will receive a refund for the amount you paid for that payor, less $25.00. TLC will retain $25.00 to cover the cost of time spent corresponding with the payor and confirming the network closure. If you wish to try again at a later date to see if the network has opened, there is a $25.00 fee for us to confirm the network status. If the network is indeed open and you wish to proceed, that $25.00 fee will be applied to the cost of contracting with that payor.
Will you negotiate remibursement rates?
If TLC Credentialing and Consulting is obtaining your initial contract (group or individual), we will attempt to negotiate the rate during the initial contracting process at your request. Beyond the initial contracting process, TLC will not engage in the actual rate negotiation process, but we will provide guidance and recommendations on how to approach this process.
